CLIMATE
Armenia is often called ‘Land of Sunshine’. The average annual number of sunshine hours is 2,700 (333 days), as many as in Egypt. The climate is dry and markedly continental with hot summers lasting from June to mid-September, and moderately cold winters with plenty of snow. The average temperature is +25°C in July and -5°C in January. Rainfall is most frequent in April and May (43-52 mm). The mountain peaks are carpeted with perennial snow.
